This video shows the Art Studio of Accademia del Giglio, where classes take place. AdG organizes courses in Art in Florence since 1995. The courses are held both in English and in Italian in the school premises. Our teachers are well experienced in teaching classical drawing and painting techniques, such as graphite, charcoal, sanguine, pen-and-ink, silver point, pastel crayon, oil, acrylic and watercolour, as well as basic Fresco courses. Art classes are usually conducted in the afternoon, from Monday to Thursday; on Fridays students can take advantage of our open studio, where they can study, finish or plan their artworks on their own. Every week three hours of tuition are also dedicated to the study of life drawing with male and female models. Furthermore our academy offers one-week summer workshops in specific Art techniques: sketchbook and landscape, portrait, sanguine drawing and watercolour workshop.
Following this link you can watch a video-interview with one of our students. Her name is Irene, from California, and in the interview she talks about her painting studies and, of course, about her experience at Accademia del Giglio.
